Yes, it is 10:33 pm on a Tuesday night in León, Spain (a city of about 130,000) and they are not ready to go to bed!! Outside my hotel window I hear laughing and talking, at a time most of us would be fast asleep. The Spanish schedule seems to go like this: stores open at 10am, close for siesta at 2 pm open again at 6 pm, close again at 9 pm when everybody, workday or not, takes a walkabout in town (no matter how big or little the town), has a nip and then a full on dinner. Well how do you go to sleep on a full tummy? You don’t! You have to laugh and talk it off and about midnight you head inside so you can get enough sleep to get up and be to work by 10:00 am the next morning.
Simple.
Today we travelled from our Albergue in Religios to León. We stopped in this town Manzilla de Mulas (?) where they were having an awesome Market! Guess Tuesday is Market day all over the world!
Continuing on, we reached León around 2:30 and Marty and I checked into our hotel rooms while John and Adi checked into theirs.
We passed the Beautiful Cathedral de Leon which we will visit tomorrow.
Dinner was special. Thai food in celebration of 4 new friends as John and Adi will be moving on tomorrow. Sad to see them go but I have no fear that we will cross paths again, somewhere.
